How Does It Work?

As a member of The Marine Club you have access to a growing nationwide range of superb sports and recreational boats.

Membership in the Marine Club offers a number of benefits over ownership, with no capital investment, no refueling hassle and no maintenance, launch or recovery fees. Each location offers a significant support infrastructure to make your time on the water safe and fun.

All you need to do is enjoy days of stress free boating

All members need to hold a Level 2 Powerboat Certificate and participate in a free training session during their first day out.

Annual membership for 2010 remains only £299.

This annual fee gets you registered with us and gives insurance protection of up to £3 million liability for any of our boats.

Once you are a member you can buy as few or as many points as you feel you need...

  • 10 points - £100 (£10.0 per point)
  • 100 points - £950 (£9.50 pp)
  • 200 points - £1800 (£9.00 pp)

Each boat will be worth different points relative to the value of the boat .

For example: Currently a £38,000 inboard cuddy cabin boat goes out for 35 points any day of the year.

Fuel used will be supplied at local pump price and paid for at the end of the day. Please see the list of boats at each location for a breakdown of points value.

Example of ownership costs of a boat worth £30,000 with a 20% deposit £6000

12 months of marine finance repayments £2589
Insurance - £350
1st yr depreciation of 20% - £4000
Maintenance £500
Storage and launching £500

First year costs not including deposit £7939
